AI Bunny is a full point of sale with built-in card acceptance, online and in store. Because our payment integrations are processor agnostic, most restaurants keep the merchant account, the rates, and the banking relationship they already have.
In most cases, yes. AI Bunny does not require a restaurant to change payment processors. AI Bunny connects to card processing through two processor-agnostic gateways, Datacap Systems and Authorize.Net, and a single certified integration with either one reaches a wide range of processor platforms. If your merchant account already routes through one of those platforms, you can move to AI Bunny and keep your current rates and settlement bank.
AI Bunny integrates directly with four payment providers: Datacap Systems, Authorize.Net, Square, and Stripe. A gateway is the connection between the point of sale and the card processor. Datacap Systems and Authorize.Net are the two that make AI Bunny processor agnostic, because a single integration with either one reaches a wide range of processors with no additional development.

Our card-present integration runs on Datacap DC Direct, with online payments on the Datacap Pay API. One certified integration reaches almost any processor a restaurant is likely to be using, which is what lets you keep the processor you already have.

A processor-agnostic gateway for online and phone orders. If your merchant account is already set up for Authorize.Net, AI Bunny connects to it without changing your processor.

Square covers both sides of the counter. AI Bunny supports Square for e-commerce card payments on your online ordering site and app, and for full card-present payments on a connected Square terminal at the register. Square also powers Tap to Pay on iPhone in the AI Bunny Driver App, so a driver can take a card at the door with no extra hardware.

Card payments for online ordering and subscription billing, with saved cards held as tokens by Stripe. Stripe also offers card-present acceptance through its own certified readers, but AI Bunny in-store terminals are normally deployed on Datacap DC Direct or Square, so talk to us before buying Stripe hardware.

Through our Datacap Systems integration, AI Bunny works with almost any processor a restaurant is likely to be using, with no per-processor development or certification. If your processor is on this list, or routes through one of these platforms, you can move to AI Bunny without changing it.
This list is not exhaustive. If you do not see your processor, contact us and we will confirm whether it routes through a platform we already support. If you do not yet have a merchant account, we can refer you to a payment partner who will set one up.
Yes. AI Bunny integrates with third-party POS systems as well as payment gateways, so you can keep both at once. A restaurant already running Pecan POS, for example, keeps Pecan at the register and keeps the processor behind it, while AI Bunny handles phone ordering, online ordering, and delivery on top. Orders flow into the POS the restaurant already knows, and card processing continues to settle exactly as it does today. You change neither your POS nor your processor.
If you would rather consolidate, AI Bunny POS is a full point of sale in its own right, with the same processor-agnostic card acceptance described above. Either way the payment side of the decision stays open.
No. AI Bunny is processor agnostic. Our Datacap Systems and Authorize.Net integrations route to the processor you already use, so in most cases you keep your existing merchant account, your existing rates, and your existing banking relationship.
Through Datacap Systems, AI Bunny works with almost any processor a restaurant is likely to be using, including TSYS (Total System Services), Fiserv (formerly First Data), Worldpay, Heartland Payment Systems, Global Payments, Elavon, and Chase Paymentech. We also support Square and Stripe directly as both processor and gateway.
Yes. AI Bunny integrates with third-party POS systems including Pecan POS, Toast POS, Clover POS, and Square POS, and it connects to payment gateways including Datacap Systems and Authorize.Net. A restaurant already running Pecan POS, for example, can keep Pecan at the register, keep the processor behind it, and still add AI Bunny phone ordering, online ordering, and delivery. You change neither your POS nor your processor.
Yes. AI Bunny is a full point of sale. Card-present payments run through a connected payment terminal using Datacap DC Direct, or through a connected Square terminal if you process with Square. Card data never touches AI Bunny software. Drivers can also collect cards at the door using Tap to Pay on iPhone in the AI Bunny Driver App.
We can refer you to a payment partner who handles underwriting and sets up the merchant account. You contract with them for processing and with AI Bunny for the software.
No. AI Bunny is not a bank, payment processor, or money transmitter, and never takes possession of settlement funds. Money settles directly from your processor to your own bank account.
Payment gateway, terminal, and processing software made available through AI Bunny is licensed to the restaurant directly by the applicable payment provider under that provider's own terms. Those terms are incorporated by reference into the AI Bunny Restaurant Participation Agreement, which restaurants review and accept in the AI Bunny Dashboard, and apply to restaurants using the corresponding service. This list is maintained and updated from time to time. See also our Terms of Service.
